Are you a racing fan, speed addict, or thrill seeker? Well, this is your chance to experience firsthand what it is like to drive a 305 horsepower, 2011 Varsity Ford Mustang on a race track. As one of only seven super speedways in North America, Texas World Speedway will give you the chance of a lifetime - to ride, drive and experience what the pros do!
With proper instruction and guidance, the TWS Ride & Drive Experience is your chance to experience speeds up to 120mph on the historic Texas World Speedway. Once strapped in, you’re free to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime thrill of driving an authentic 2011 Varsity Ford Mustang on a legendary racetrack.
Your day at the speedway will begin with a short orientation meeting where your instructor will prepare you for your on-track experience. After that, you will get a chance to drive a 2011 Varsity Ford Mustang on the historic Texas World Speedway in College Station, Texas.
This adrenaline rushing, thrill of a lifetime lets you take hold and experience the capabilities of a 2011 Varsity Ford Mustang.
After your hot laps, a Texas World Speedway Performance Driving School instructor will take over the wheel while you strap in and prepare for the ride of your life!
The cars will be equipped with an HD video camera that will capture your experience in car as well as your hot laps on track. The DVD will be available for easy access to your unforgettable experience.
Scheduling for your Ride & Drive Experience is flexible with three package options to choose from, the Ride & Drive Program at TWS offers something for all.
Package 1 – 5 lap ride.
Strap in while a TWS Instructor takes you on a ride of your life around the historic Texas World Speedway. This is perfect for someone that has never driven on a racetrack or just wants a fun and exciting thrill ride. Package price is $100
Package 2 – 5 lap ride & 3 lap drive
This is your chance to drive the historic Texas World Speedway for 3 laps and then strap in the passenger seat while your TWS Performance Driving School instructor takes you on a 5 lap thrill ride. Package price is $225
Package 3 – 3 lap ride & 5 lap drive.
This package is recommended for the avid car enthusiast that has a need for speed. Package price is $265

Your Day on Track: FAQ
What time do I need to arrive?
- We ask that you arrive about 9:45am if your experience begins at 10am or 12:45pm if your experience begins at 1pm in our Pro Shop PX to sign in and get fitted for your helmet
What time does the event start?
- The event will start promptly at either 10am or 1:00pm (depending on the time of year) in the Driver's Lounge with a short orientation about TWS and a short prep about what to expect while you are out on track
How long does the event last?
- Each Ride & Drive will typically last about an hour for each individual. Depending on the order each person begins their in car experience will depend on how long you will be here for the afternoon
Can I leave when my turn is up?
- Yes, once your on track experience is complete, we will show you the In Car Video captured during your laps on track in our Pro Shop PX. Upon seeing the experience, your experience is complete and you are free to go!
Can I bring friends and family?
- Yes! Friends and family are encouraged to come watch your experience and take photos at no extra charge. We do require all persons who enter the front gate to sign a waiver upon entry.
What if I need to cancel my event?
- We understand that situations may occur that prevent participants from coming to an event. Cancellations will be issued credit in full toward another event with written notice (via e-mail to
