Work-Drive Program Objectives

Texas World Speedway (TWS) and the Performance Driving School (PDS) established the Work-Drive Program (‘the program’) to meet three objectives:

         Offer a way for young people to enter into the community of high performance driving and motorsports, when it would otherwise be unaffordable to them

         Provide opportunities, training, and experience in many different fields of motorsports safety and management

         Reward the loyalty and contributions of experienced course marshals, driving instructors, and event staff who support Texas World Speedway and the Performance Driving School on a continuing basis

Work-Drive Program Overview

Conducting a high performance driving event or motorsports event (race, time trial, time attack, etc.) takes a lot of people with many different skill sets, all with the common goal of providing a safe opportunity for drivers to drive on track in an educational or competitive environment.  The Performance Driving School at TWS uses this program to allow those people who work to conduct or support these events, to directly translate their efforts into opportunities to drive on track and enjoy other amenities offered by TWS.

         PDS provides you with training for an event position

         You work the position for a PDS event, in exchange for credits

         You redeem those credits for driving events and other rewards

With the PDS work-drive program, you can earn credits that can be redeemed for driving rewards or for other TWS events and amenities.  As your qualifications increase, and you gain experience and responsibility, you will qualify for higher level benefits and increased priority for rewards.  Below is a quick overview of the basic benefits of the program:
